We had an amazing time in San Diego and Imperial Beach. We went to the San Diego Zoo all yesterday afternoon and saw a frillion animals and probably walked about 5 miles, that zoo is masszive and very hilly, it is not the most conveniant zoo that is for sure, so after surfing, biking, and lots and lots of walking I was pretty beat last night. We ate at this restaurant in the gas lamp section of San Diego, the old historic district. The restaurant is called the Tin Fish and I had an amazing fish burrito while Katie had some fish and chips and delicious Coronas. After we walked around San Diego a bit, we headed back to Imperial Beach, about 15 minutes south of San Diego, where Tim lives. On our way back we drove by a drive in movie theatre and decided to go spur of the moment. It was amazing. I have never been to a drive in. For only 7 dollars we got to see Wolverine and Monsters vs. Aliens in the comfort of our car. We made a little bed in the back and watched the movies out of the trunk. We were a little bummed that we did not get to put a box in our window, but the sound through the radio was amazing. I have new ideas about building a drive in in Mt. Pleasant, and making bank.

Anyways we had another amazing night sleep at Tim's, and left around 10 this morning. Tim is heading to El Salvador tomorrow for a surf trip, and we wish him great travels. We descended back into the smog today, we could tell when we were getting closer to LA because we could barely see...alright it was not that bad, but the air certainly was full of pollutants. We drove up the 1 through San Clementine and Laguna Beach which made Katie very excited. After having lunch with L.C., just kidding, we pulled into the traffic of LA. We drove around a bit and then headed to Melrose Avenue. We browsed the shops and went to the Kid Robot store, which was awesome. I got a rainy day dunny even though it was not rainy, and Katie and I bought loads of toys for ourselves and friends back home. We had lunch at Fromas, an had amazing panini's.
After a bit of shopping we headed to Glenn German's house, Michael and Nany's friends from college. It is a beautiful house nestled in Beverly Hills complete with backhouse and swimming pool, and three amazing kids. Katie and I feel pretty lucky to again be staying with amazing people. We swam in the pool for a couple of hours and are now salivating over the smells wafting in the living room from the kitchen. We are hopefully going to go out tonight, see the sights tomorrow, and then head up to Santa Barbara on Sunday. If anyone has any suggestions about any sites we should see, please comment.
