Current Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Well, after 11 or so hours of driving we made it to New Orleans. Katie and I are switching off driving everytime we have to fill up for gas, which seems to be working, but as soon as katie took the wheel in Alabama it began to rain and rained for the entire 5 hours she drove, and then as soon as i took over there were sunny skies...haha. We ate dinner at the Olive Garden, always delicious, in Mobile, Alabama. Katie and I have never been to Louisiana so we are excited to get out and explore the bayou. We are taking pictures at every state sign we enter, so here are some state sign pics so far..see above. They are not in order obviously, it went georgia, alabama, mississippi, and then Louisiana...just some info if you dont know your American geography.
Last night we stayed in a KOA campground just outside of New Orleans. We both forgot our pillows, so we made due with blankets...not a good idea. I have been having some throat problems and woke up around 4, and could not take the buzzing of the light over our tent and tried to sleep in the car...needless to say, it was not the best sleep we have ever had by a longshot, but the showers and bathroom were tidy. Anyways, we are heading into New Orleans to explore the French Quarter and Bourbon street, Katie really wants some beads.
