Day 7

Current Location: Las Vegas, Nevada

Sorry that we have not posted in a while, but it is hard to find internet connection at the grande canyon...thats right the grand canyon. Katie and I arrived at her friend Liza's house in Tucson, Arizona around four on Sunday, and had an amazing time. Katie's friend truly was amazing and hooked us up. We just hung out and toured around Tucson Sunday night, and went to this amazing crepe cafe on monday morning. It was sad to say good-bye to a new found friend, and an old best friend, but Monday morning we headed up the interstate towards the grand canyon.

We got into the park around 5, just in time to go on a quick hike and watch the sun set behind the rows and rows of jagged peaks and cliffs. The sunset was amazing of course, and hiking off the beaten path a bit was also very fun. We camped on top of the canyon monday night, and then explored the canyon a bit more this morning, and found out that pretty much every view looks the same...freaking breathtakin, but the same none the less, and we headed out of the park around 10. We had a great time campin...I woke Katie up and 8 which she still is not too happy about, but she slept for like 2 hours in the car, so she is feeling good.

We saw the hoover dam today...not that amazing. Chevy Chase's Vegas Vacation and Transformers sure did make the dam seem way bigger than it actually is, but I guess that is hollywood for ya.

Tonight we hope to see cirque de soleil's O, and explore the fun and exciting stuff on the strip. Tomorrow we head for San Diego where we will stay with Bud's cousin Tim.

We have officially driven just under 3,000 miles already, but we have only spent around 200-250 dolllars in gas...which is not that bad. The last two days have been truly amazing, and it was great to head up into the canyon last night. More to come soon, but now Katie and I are going to drive around the corner and get hitched at the Little White Chapel, complete with Elvis impersonator, just kidding...

  1. Tell Tim hello and we love him...if time permits you should go surfing with him. Super great guy and I know you will enjoy your time. You could spend a whole day at Sea World as well! So much fun following you both, so keep up the post when you can! Gotta go, Bud is eating the bowl from the cake mix and I want a bite before it all disappears...yummy! XOXOXO

  2. Hey, not sure the comments are working but please don't get married in the Elvis Chapel...your Mom wants to attend your wedding. Glad you are having fun. Be careful. Dad
